... he lost in the Brackets ...

... dialing in at 11.0 after running 11.2s all weekend ...

... he managed a whopping 10.6 !!! :ok: :burnout:

Got a picture of the scoreboard, but the camera is still in the car ... Hey Bruce, time for you to finally get in the 10s once you get back!!!

Thanks Garry. It even suprised me. It finally laid all the cards on the table on that run. I rubbed the paint off my fender wells because the slicks grew on the top end.

Thanks. It was on the stock heads with CC 918 springs and stock push rods. I was running a 200 shot on that pass. The 11.20 run the bottle ran out. I put in a fresh bottle and it made a little difference :D

Don,
CONGRATS!!! That's AWESOME that you finally made it......leave the stock heads on it  Did you sit back and drink beer the rest of the day like you said you would??

Val,
I couldn't drink. I had to drive home. I wanted to. Actually, I helped my buddy with the Maverick. We put 250hp jets in his car, changed the plugs, pulled timing, and put in a fresh bottle. He made it to the line with about 5 minutes to spare. He pulled off a 10.80. BTW, were you there this weekend? I did see Roy but not the Valster.

Yep I was there but was busy with the KotH stuff. I left yesterday about 3:45pm. The SLK did really good for being totally stock and an automatic. Sorry I didn't get a chance to get down there to see you. That 10.60 says alot for what a 346ci motor will do with a few mods!! When you shipping the car home??

Thanks. The only problem with the run was that I bent my seat a little. Time to lay off the McDonalds.

Keith did well for not having a F-body  Keith, you know I'm only kidding. I thought he did really well! I still want to link up and hit Road Atlanta after you get all the mods from LG done.

won the AutoX thanks to Bob's mistake. Finished 4th in the 1/4 mile, about where I thought I would. My 60' times were not that great, but my R/Ts were pretty good considering I've never seen a pro-tree before. On Saturday night, Bob, Stef & I were tied for the lead but I had some issues on Sunday and was lucky to hold on to 3rd. Bob really did his homework and was way ahead of the rest of us. I would say there's always next year, but not for me.

I had to enter the brackets just to get some runs in. I did make it three rounds though. After my first run I knew the bottle was empty and I also had antifreezed dripping from one of my hoses. I had to tighten it at the end of the track with a dime. It didn't help that I spent all morning changing to colder plugs and putting in bigger nitrous jets. Changing the jets is the biggest PITA.

Thanks brother. Where have you been? I sent you a PM about the Goat. I tried to get some seat time in the GTO but I spent most of my time working on my car and the Maverick.
