Both F-Body & Stang turnout was pretty low ... not even Roy showed up with the SS, instead he used the freakin' 4banger ... Nice traction on the launch, though!

(F-Bodies from FBE, that is ... there were lots of 1st and 2nd gens there that we often have ...)

Yep That launch felt good , But I believe the head gasket finally blew . The car got a little warm going home and I see bubles in the coolant.
Not good.

Hope everybody made it home in one piece ... especially A10Beav with the blown alternator ... :( Tried to go after you and tell you to recharge your empty battery with our charger, but you were already gone ... :(

It was nice meeting some of you guys :)

My battery died before I even left the base! Luckily I had a spare in the trunk (relocation kit I haven't finished), so I swapped them and then drove to a frinds house near Bitburg. I charged both batteries and even took a third one with me when I drove back to Ramstein. I was able to make the trip on one battery though :) I had another alternator at home, so everything is Ok; now I just have to figure out why I've blown 2 alternators!

I would have liked to make some more runs, especially on the autocross :D Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck next time.

Glad to hear ... running w/o alternator sucks, especially when it dies at night while you're trying to find a certain place ... coincidentally, my 'vert's alternator also died in Bitburg (2003 I think) ... no ADAC Plus, so the tow truck only brought my over to the Opel place ... cost me €200,- and an extra night in Bitburg in the car ... ;)

I signed up for Plus membership the week after ... :)

Sounds like it may be shortening somewhere. On my dads mustang we had to go to a single wire in order for it to even charge because the guy infront of it tried to build it for racing and somehow screwed up the wiring.(But she moves)
