wounded warrior cruise:

I called th eChaplain today at Landstuhl to organize a wounded warrior cruise. We can combine it with BlackHawk Photo day. the event will be June 2nd, the 1st Sat in June. We will meet up at the CTS parking lot by Ramstein, cruise to Kleber to pick up the passengers. Then cruise back to Landstuhl Via K-town downtown, staying on B-40 and giving the wounded warriors a nice site to see rather than the autobahn. come back here to the heliport, do BlackHawk Photo's with the cars, then have a BBQ. The Chaplain is looking at some outside organizations to supply food and drinks. so all we would need is an empty seat or 2 and a full tank of gas in the cars to give a ride.

More details will follow as we get more planning done, but I wanted to get this out ASAP so people could plan accordingly. Sign up here please.

Dude, that's a great idea! I'm not sure how much time off base the guys get. I'm sure it would be better than sitting around a hospital all day

Nice work!

I don't believe that's the day for tuning. Think that is the 8-9 June but don't quote me.

Hotrod that's a fantastic idea. I plan to join!

If my tires show up until then (which they should next week I hope), I could join in ... need somebody to sign me in if we start out or end up on post ...

I don't think anyone would want to ride in the Focus in it's current state. Plus I have no chance of driving onto base with it, too low.

Great Idea. If there are some that are well enough, it might also be nice to take a few to Bitburg or to the Ramstein car show.

Well, just got back from putting the new shoes on the rear, and replacing the sway bar endlink where I messed up the nut ... everything should be ready for Bitburg and 1st Weekend of June ...

Did you ever ask about taking some of the soldiers to Bitburg?

Yeah, ask Silke about a special deal on the entrance fee, have them get 'em over there for a day trip on a Saturday or Sunday ... Take them a booklet or a poster to show what we're doing ...

Not for this weekend, it's a bit of a short notice ... June or July maybe ...
Weather looked pretty nice here this afternoon, and the forecast got even better on Accuweather for the weekend in Bitburg, with 21C on Friday, and no mentionable rain for all three days ...
