One of the guys who's a regular at Bitburg (the ones with the old Opels) from Dortmund has a dyno at his place ... it was temporary, but seems to remain there for some time ... I guess we might be able to get them to have a Saturday to run a couple cars there ... anybody interested?

Do you mean he has the dyno at Dortmund or at Bitburg somewhere?

It's in Dortmund, though he might bring it to Bitburg in September ...

No info on the speed, but 1000hp (and something about "350kW Wirbelstrombremse" - I assume that might mean it can create 350kW of force) ...

Should be enough for most of our cars...

Eddy current brake will come in handy to hit those pesky VE cells that are tough to do, instead of fudging them.
I might be a candidate for up to 3hrs of time

yeah ... should make it easier to get the VE tune homed in than running on the Autobahn ... also I guess timing is easier to adjust with it ... go through Bidi and see what makes the most power ...

Talked to him this weekend ... guess we could get some Saturday and rent the place for the whole day/evening ... price will depend on what you want to do - just a pull or two, or multiple runs for more complex tuning ...

Unfortunately, I guess I am out for now. Will eventually need a tune again though.

Any chance of just moving everything over to a new block? (plus maybe getting new/better connecting rods)

Obviously, I don't know what happened until I disassemble it, but I really don't think the rods failed. They were Forged Compstar's.

I can only hope nothing else got destroyed.

Dyno will be on the road the next two weekends, but after that we could go there to do some performance tests ... any takers? Would be nice to get at least something like 5 cars or so together ...

Want to ask for a date at Jacobi's place, so - anybody up for some dyno runs?
I would ask for either June 28th, July 5th or 12th ... please reply if/which dates you'd be interested in ...
