Any good 1/4 mile tracks in Germany? Only one I've found is Bitburg.

Don't know for sure, but I'll be up at bitburg in Oct for the last event of the year for them.

Are they real strict on running with a helmet if 13.xx and slower?

I got the application in the car somewhere, not 100% sure but I think they require a helmet for all runs down the track. They also require roll cages for a certain time a below as well, but didn't really apply to me so I dont remember the exact time.

Ok cool, just trying to save myself the hassle of going up there and not being able to run.

When you line up, you don't know what your going to be up against, could be a 15 second car or an 8 second car. So, if you get smoked don't feel bad. LoL

Generally, we use NHRA/DMSB rules as a basis for tech regulations ... anyway, after going through discussions with people whether they had already run faster than the time requiring helmets for 2 years, we changed it to helmets for everybody, no matter how fast or slow ...

Yeah, I know that feeling. When I go to Cordova back home, they always wave me and a guy with a tubbed drag car even if the guy in the other lane is equal or close to me. LOL

Garry - Thanks for the info. :D

I heard they don't prep the track in Bitburg...y not?

I went out there for like 10 minutes over a year ago and I couldn't recall if I seen them prepping it at all or not.

It's an active Airport ... they won't let us prep it ...

Anyway, folks get down to 1.5 60', we've had SG and Comp cars there that ran low 9's (current record is something like 8.4 or so), so you can't really complain about traction ...

I remember that photo...someone posted it last year.

**What an idiot...I completely forgot that it was part of the Airport.

I knew it was on an airport, didn't know it was active, but it's also a little uphill, correct?
