Well, haven't watched it yet, but browsed through it ...

On their track test with the Stig, it was only 1/10s slower than a GT3 RS !!! It looked like the Stig was close to following the Koenigsegg-example from last week ... ;)

Here's what the Top Gear web site says:

Quote:
The Z06 has a V8 engine. But more impressive than that, it has a gas tanker emptying, seven litre engine which can knock out 500bhp. The engine is so remarkable, that it can go from 0-175 all in fifth gear.

And all this for just £60,000.

But do we recommend it? Well, not really. The problem being, off the track and on a road, the car is truly unmanageable, the ride is awful, the engine sounds like it's being fuelled by spanners, it's too wide, it will shake your bones to dust and the gearbox feels like it's out of a tractor.

Anybody here try that 5th Gear 0-something with an LS1 yet?

Those damn Brits are always crackin on the Vette. Show me a car from England that can do what a Z06 can!

... the latter being almost 3sec faster on their track ... and less than a third as heavy ... more like a street-cart than a car ...

I've done it in 4th, 3rd is an easy start. extra 150hp shouldn't be a problem, don't think the clutch would like it too much

Yup, that's it ... ;) Got it in HQ version, though, which is a lot nicer to watch & listen to ;)
