Last week on the Autobahn, there was a big bang, as if somebody was hitting my windshield with a baseball bat. Probably a big stone.
A 10inch long crack developed. So I went to CarGlass. Within one week they got a new windshield and fitted it. Good job.
Thank God, its paid by the insurance, because new price would be approx. 1300EUR.

Now the rear view mirror sits slightly higher. That is good, because the view to the right hand side (eg for traffic light) was always hampered.
I always had the look underneath the mirror.
(My seat is already in its lowest position)

BTW, here's a link for a cheaper windshield, just $169 (of course I'd also take the expensive OEM windshield if insurance pays for it  ):

And I know the problem with the traffic lights, my seat is also in the lowest position but it doesn't help, I'm just too tall.
