					| Okay
Most people have heard that Porsche rotors have cast in holes instead of the cross drilling that you see on most typical rotors after it is cast.

Well can any one prove that the holes are cast in and not drilled, A few pictures of the mold or the rotor in different stages would suffice.

Stef you have any inside info or is it proprietary and guarded better than a virgins virtue.

					| Couldn't you tell by looking at the inside of the holes? I would imagine you could see traces of the holes being drilled if they were ...? _________________

					| The holes are cast in the disks. Some fancy casting, but if you look close you will see fine irregularities in the holes (unlike the smooth drilled holes), but you have to look closely.
By casting the holes you get the cast-iron grain to flow around the holes and reduce cracking. They will still crack slightly, but not nearly as bad as drilled holes.

					| Last time I looked at a casting process, all I saw was a ladle pouring molten metal down a hole, flames everywhere.
What do you want to see? How the core inserts assemble in the mould, the finished product or just proof that the holes are cast in the disk?

					| Basically looking for a picture that shows a rotor that is unmachined with the cast holes in it.
I've got a pict of the brakemold here. But for some people that is not good enough. I just want to be able to show with out a doubt that the holes are cast._________________
