Unfortunately the Camaro's center console is not lockable as it is in a Mustang or even a Sebring. I have a 2002 Z28 A4 convertible and leaving it with the top down, you really need a lockable console compartment to secure small items. It should use the same key as the glove box or, most comfy, should be locked when locking the doors by the keyless remote. Any suggestions or installation guide how to install? Did any one do this before?
Just an idea.......
my 911 has a locking fuel flap, which basically consists of a small solenoid that pushes a pin forward (through a holed flange) when you lock the car. Maybe you could use a similar solenoid to lock the lid of your center console and wire it in parrallel to your door locks.
