Hi guys !

I am new to this forum.

I drive a 1998 Camaro Z28 with 60000km on it since Nov2007. It is in quite a good condition and very reliable so far.

My A/C works perfectly. Very cold and very hot.

However every now and then it leaks water onto the floor of the passenger seat from below the glove box and sometimes on to the driver's side.

Has anybody had a similar problem ?

Could it be that some repository fills up and a corresponding drain is blocked .. I also never have the usual A/C water mark on the spot where I parked my car, when the A/C has been used ..

Any clues what and where I should check ?

Best :ok:
Pedro

The A/C drain line is plugged. You will have to get your car on a lift to see the draintube. Just take strong piece of metal wire and gently push it into the drain tube to clear the blockage.

Hi Roy

Thanks again for your reply, the issue is solved, I guess.

This morning I went to wash my car to put on some miles with A/C switched on. Then I took my Camaro to a friend of mine who owns a small workshop and we lifted it up to have a peek at the drain tube and in fact, once we used a long screwdriver on it, it got unplugged and the accumulated water just came down the drain.

:ok:

Best
Pedro
