Hey man, what springs are you running? Did you just get the regular HD Bilsteins, or did you get them revalved?

Had mine revalved to match my springs and style of driving. Running 3rd Gen HD's out back though a little softer according to posts from others. Feels more solid and stable then the old bilsteins I had.

Cool. I am now in contact with Sam Strano. Hopefully he will get me set up the way I want. Like you, I'm more into road racing, and not the 1/4. I will be hooking up the suspension this Winter. The car already handles like a mofo, but it will only get better. I'm thinking Strano revalved shocks, G2 sway bars and a good brake setup should get me where I want to be. Everything else is already there.

His revalve's ain't cheap 485 probably more since their prices went up. But well worth it! I damn near creamed my pants coming home one night doing 165 from Ryans house. Before the car felt good but now it's close to low budget supercar status. But w/ coilovers and new upper and lower a-arms up front what do ya expect?!

Only thing left to do is change the rear bar out to a smaller one sitting the batcave now. Redoin the brake duct kit too and putting a CF ds in as well. I'm just curious to see if I feel any difference w/ the ds since it's only 10-12 lbs. It'll suck off the light but so what? On the bahn and track it'll be murda.
Got a find a set of rims too because I'm doing the ring in street tires this yr. 10 spoke SS and Nitto 555r's are on order. Wanted some rims from here that are light but can't get the offset I want unless I buy 3 series BMW wheels $$$$$

What from LG exactly? Coilover kit w/ springs, A-arms? $$$$$$ I'd be interested to see what differencse there are in terms of handling once you get it.

Me too man. I want them, but I am scared of the $$$$ figure. I can only assume that they are badass. I think it would be a good package for the 'ring!

The Bilstein HD's have made my Z stick to the road really well. No more bobbing and floating, but solid hard ripples along the road. The Bilsteins are heavily damped so you can hit a big bump and within the first bounce you are back to normal.

And when you go into a corner she goes where you point her with no delay.

High speeds the car feels much happier.

Sam does a good job, but be patient they may take a while to come from Bilstein.

Thanks Jagsy. I will consider them, but the coil-over kit is a very well-tuned setup, and Lou has tested his parts extensively. If you go to his site, you can see the way he owns that track.

Hey Jack ask around mainly on LS1tech about his coilover/shocks. They had a discussion and I even think Sam chimed in on it. Sam is proven and cost effective as well as LG but people flock to Sam vs LG and it's not for cost reasons either. For the price of his coilover setup I got the shocks, coilovers, and upper and lower A-arms. Just something to think about. Hell ride in Roy's car the 2nd best handling fbody I've been in ever. LA8peaks was the best bar none.

Hey do you know how much those BBS LM a rim run? Maybe they are cheaper over since being made here.

They are very expensive man, like at least $3-4K for the wheels alone. I could not afford them, so my cousin sold them.

Damn! I knew they were gonna cost even over here. Looks like I'll be settling for 10 spoke SS rims for real now w/ Nitto 555TR II's.

That's probably a wise idea John. To pay that much for some weekend wheels is not really practical imho.

Those were gonna be my daily's and the LG for track. Oh well. When ya headin back this way?
