Hi,

I bought my car new on January 2000, and 2 months ago my rear sway bar began to make noise (it was the 1st time). :(
This noise comes from the big rubber bushings on the straight part of the bar.
I unmounted the 2 bushings and applied grease on the bar and on the bushings too. The problems is, I don't know if I've done the right thing, because 1 month later, these f****g bushings make noise again :x :x :x

Can someone tell me what to do ? (Except a poly kit because a friend of mine had one on his 81 vette, and it was VERY noisy too).

Many thanks,

on my '98, I didn't have the problem - but the suspension is a major PITA ... you may want to think about getting the BMR swaybars, great improvement - not sure but I think they come with a set of poly bushings...

You could drill and tap the mount so you can add a grease fitting. Make sure that you are using a good moly grease. You don't want something that will "melt" away. You could also try some anti-seize if you have a lot of dirt getting in the grease. The anti-seize doesn't attract dirt as much.
Or, you could get a 572 cubic inch big block from Bill Mitchell. Now you won't hear any more noise coming from your swaybars!

The BMR bars do come with poly mounts - both mid and end but try their silicone grease which is what you're supposed to use on these bushings.
