Anybody read that article in the OCT issue on the the G-2 suspension set up for the 4th GEN??? You want a corner carver that is the set up....I would have to go with the G-2 coilovers instead of the normal springs & bilstiens. The only thing that I'm missing out of the set up they talked about in the article is the Lower Arms. You would have to have some $$$ to afford it. Nice part about the G-2 set up is that it is designed to work as a complete system.

I'm loving my set up. I rode in yours' only felt a difference in your brakes. I still need a STB and sway bar

He doesn't have the full kit either. If he had the coilovers, it would be a totally different ride. I'm not knocking your setup Jason, 'cause I'd love to have it, but the G2 coilover kit is the best out for an fbody.

Jack, IMO you are exactly right the coilovers are TOP NOTCH!!! I just can seem to swing the $1600 for them when my set up is still working decent.

I know what you mean Val. I mean hell, I'm still running stock shocks, and I think the car handles like a dream. I can only imagine what it would be like if I had some decent shocks!

Yeah it's a lot of Jack. Personally though I don't like the rear coil over setup he uses. I'll just keep my perch and be content w/ it. The idea that the shock mounts to the rear bracket scares me. It must be proven because he's had this design for yrs and NO ONE has mentioned failure of any kind so obviously it works but still..........
His lower A-arms are trick too and pricey. My BMR stuff hasn't failed me and I hang w/ the best of them. It is nice to have one entire setup w/ one vendor instead of pieces of this and that etc.....but oh well. I've got BMR upper & lower front a-arms, Suspension tech sway bars, KB SF, Hotckis STB, PPC solid rear LCA & PHR. I still came out cheaper than LG's whole kit for all said parts too against his coilovers for that.

At one point, I thought I was gonna go all Hotchkis, but I just went with the cheaper, used parts, and am quite content with what I have. I will definitely upgrade the shocks sometime in the near future, but it's really not up there in the priority list, so it will wait.
John, where you been hidin man?

Just laying low man. Focusing on E7 so my time goes there. Besides I like being out of sight out of mind.
What's been up w/ you though? Ready to leave here I bet.

As we have talked many times about the different set ups, I agree if you have a set up that works for you & your happy with it then that is all that matters. That was the first article that I've seen that was dedicated soley to LGs set up. I found it rather interesting. What would be cool is if they did a test on the different makers and used them on the same car. It would be interesting to see if there was truely any differences. John, GOOD LUCK on getting your E-7!!

John, I have been working on my clutch off and on, and then I realized I needed a new one already, since I didn't replace or resurface the flywheel last time. I got it yesterday though, so it's in and the Z is back in action.

Thanks Val! I'd like to see that kind of test myself!
Jack so you have gotten rid of the slip issue altogether? That's great news. I need to do the same and buy a new clutch disc and have my flywheel resurfaced along w/ a new rear main seal. I'll do it next spring though.

John, yes it was slipping because there was virtually no meat left on the clutch disk, and both the flywheel and pressure plate had serious hot spots.
Jason, yep you read right!

Jack,
Glad to hear you finally got it in and running!!! Got the wheel spacers lastnight but still have to test fit them.....probably won't get to it till this weekend. Hoping to start fabbing up the oil cooler stuff. Even if I don't get the lines hooked up I can atleast have it all mounted and ready.
