That is really funny: I have hardly done 500mls with the Global West full rod end LCAs and the first rod end is broken already!
I called Global West and they said they will send a replacement rod end.
But even IF they send a new one, when will the next one break down?

Gunnar,
GW uses high dollar rod ends...it is VERY UNUSUAL that it broke like that. I would chalk it up as a part that wasn't made properly. The same rod ends are on my car which have been on there since 2002 & 27K miles.

Lets keep the fingers crossed, that this was an exeption and they WILL send a replacement. I like to re-install them.
BTW: they are quite heavy, compared to the OEs.
A bit over the top, IMHO.

I'm sure that you will be happy with the replacement. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight.

Today I received the spare rod end from Global west.
I managed to get off the spacers from the broken rod end.
Hopefully I can press in the new one, without damaging it.
Well, I am not in a hurry!

I've had nothing but rod ends in the rear of my Stang since June, andno problems. However, for a street dirven car, you have to check them twice a year or so for wear, and it is not uncommon to have to replace them every year or so. Just my .02. Other than that, I love my, especially at the track.
