I am looking into starting to add suspension mods..... I have no clue where to start though.. I was looking into getting a strut tower brace as my first mod or does anyone else think somthing else is more important first like sub frame conectors?? I am looking for a good starting place and building from there...

Depends on what set-up or purpose you are going for...I would do SFCs first. In my opinion, the STB does not do a whole lot for everyday driving, more noticable when hard cornering. SFCs will tighten your car up ALOT and be very noticable in day to day driving!!!

I agree. Subframe connectors play a big role in suspension upgrades. The only reason I wint with the STB first is the deal I got. My next mod is the subframes (I don't want to tweak my body or frame with the happy gas).

Well subframe connectors should be the first mod... It will keep the car from loosening up. It is never to late to do. I was very unhappy with the way the car handled when I bought it especially at high speeds. I called Brett at BMR and he was very good at suggesting a setup for me. He did not try to sell me the most expensive parts.. The car handles like a dream (Now if only I can get the straight line traction thing fixed, Tires) If you watch the video of me at Sembach you can see that the car way outhandles my driving ability. Look at my mods page to see what I have on mine...

BMR carries them ... you may want to go with a package they offer ... SFC, STB and panhard for somewhere below the $300 area ... that's what I'd get unless Tony gets my car fixed sometime ...

I'm mostly looking for better traction during takeoff and better handleing at higher speeds...

Round and boxed is constantly debated. I like to think that round would be stronger. It should make no real difference. New Lower Control Arms and Relocation Brackets will make it stick more on take off. As far as the panhard goes... The adjustable will help center your axle if you lower the car or want to fit bigger tires. I say why not spend the extra few $'s and just get it.

I would go with BMR.. His sh!t rocks......

Actually, the boxed stuff is stronger, but they hang lower. If your car is lowered or you plan on lowering it go with tubular, if not get the boxed...especially with a vert.

I'd go with BMR also (I did ;)) Excellent quality and good prices.

Depends on how much power you want to push. If you were serious about NOS, you would definitely want the suspension first. Otherwise you might tweak the body. I need some subframe connectors. I've heard double diamond are the best, but they are expensive ($225). I'm thinking about MAC subframes and a torque arm too.

BMR has a pretty decent package set up on their site (Boxed SFC's, STB, and ADJ. PHR) for only $289. Now I know that you get what you pay for but this package for this price dosen't sound all that bad... I am planning on lowering the car in the future (long way down the road) but only like 1/2" or 1" only.... I'm going to keep looking around for some more deals on the net but so far this is one of the better package deals I have found...

For now my wife wants me to wait on the NOS na dlook into a head and cam package instead... she's not to favorable on the funny gas..

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the rear suspension package with the SFC's, A.PHR, and LCA's..
