Today I put on the new rims with Michelin Pilot Sport 275/40 ZR 17 tires and drove to TÃœV order to get them registered.

It cost me 152 euros for the ''Einzelabnahme'' and ''Gutachten''.

I like the new feeling and handling of the car. Traction is really great now from a stop.

If one of you need a copy of the ''Gutachten'' just let me know and I will scan it for you. :D

Would be nice if you'd mail me the scanned Gutachten in case I'll switch to 17s when my current tires are done... thanks in advance! :)

EDIT: My mail is ben.fischer (at) gmx.de

Looks good! How do you like the Michelin Sport tires?

@SRZ

I have just about 500 mls on this set of tires so probably it's not been long enough to comment on them. However, these tires really have great traction, the steering response is great either. On the other hand, I guess they gonna wear pretty fast. They are also quite expensive, they cost me 350 Euros each . I would have bought the goodyear F1 GSD3 tires but in this size they are apparantly not supposed to be used in Europe since they have no ''E-Prüfzeichen'' on them.

Which brand tires and size are you using and how do you like them?

I've got Michelin Sports as well. 275/35/18 and 315/30/18's but I haven't put those wheels on yet since I'm still not running. My other set of wheels which are 17" have BFG KDW's and they're pretty nice and once they're worn out I'll put some Nitto 555R II's on the front and their drag radial out back 315/35/17". :twisted:

350 euro each?! OMG. I paid $1200 for all 4! Man they sure do lick you guys something awefull over here. :cry:
