hi,
I want to replace the shocks (front and rear) from mine 2001 Camaro 3.8V6. I have two options (Bilstein or Koni's), but the Koni's are very expensive.
Has somebody experience with the Bilstein B46-1913 (front) an B46-1914 (rear), are these more stiffer than the stock shocks. Is it true that these Bilstein's are the factory shocks for the SS-camaro ?
greetings Patrick

Yes I have used those exact same models. The shocks are factory valved for the Z28 model camaro spring rate.
Bilsteins were never a factory shock for the Camaro SS. The factory shock for the SS was the 1LE Spec DeCarbon shocks. These were valved to handle the stronger spring rates of the SS which were 1LE spring rates.
Of course if you selected the 1LE package for the SS you would get Koni Double adjustable shocks. If you ticked off on the SLP option you could also get the Bilstein/Eibach shock and spring package.
