Hi,...
since I have my Camaro, I've Problems with the front Light
(Abblendlicht in Deutsch).
I 've heared it from a pair other Camaro Drivers that the Front Light is to bad.
Every cheap Japan Car has a better Light emission than a Camaro with the new Front-Lamps.
I bought a new Light Bulb, who should have much more Light
with another Lightcolor (4200K, bright White/light blue)
from the States (in German it is not allowed, no E-Number)
The Light looks a bit better but against the most other Cars is it a bad Joke...
Another problem is the Light-bulp himself. It's an American-Norm.
Not a normaly "H1", H4" or something else. It makes many Probelms to buy some bulb in German. The "OPEL" -office has only the very bad "white/yellow" "normaly" Lampcolour...
without any light...
In every night, and if the Weather is bad, I've a Probelm so see the Street... If there is a small Car in front of me, I look in her light
and can see more as in my light before my car...
What can I make ?(no, I'm not blind my eyes are very good)
The older Camaros have German (Hella/Bosch) Lamps in the Front. The Light is very much better... and you can take a normally
Lightbulb "H1". But not in the new Models since 97??? 98???
I hope you can understand my bad english

Check out Tbyrnemotorsports.com
They have a HID conversion kit. I don't know of any better bulbs, other than the crappy ones that just change the color slightly!!
Hope this helps..

Yes, it looks fine. and it is not very Expensive for a Xenon Kit, BUT
I live in Germany....the biggest enemy of a German car is the TUEV. It give also Xenon Lights in german, but they have something like "ABE" and the Light must by automatical ?? justaging ?? (I hope the word is correct) and the Light
must have a cleaning device.
(/german)
Do it give a Kit to change the H9006 and H9005 Bulbs against
a european Norm?? (H1, H4, H7) ??
Or give it a Driving Lamp from a Japanese or other Car,
what could build in a Camaro? There are many Cars who
have a Design nearby the original Lamp.
I think that has nothing against a better Light...
if it's correct.

TUEV is every 2 years isnt it? So you do a swap every 2 years. Most of us swap exhaust every year to pass the smog test.
Get tested, then put on what you want

If your lights are yellowish and dim . Try checking the voltage that is going to them. You must have a min of 12volts with a max of 15. If that checks out alright. Check out the grounding circuit and makesure there is no unusually high resistance that completes the circuit.

Hi,...

I'm not sure if i understand you correctly, but the Light don't
be dimming... the Voltage is also correct.
But the Light emissions are not very good. And not good enough for a fast Sportcar.
Anything about the Tuev and the Changing all 2 Years. OK,.. I could make it so. I Change an Exhaust System, the light and anyone else. But if i have an Accident with the car and the Police can see that the changes are not legal, i loose my insurance-protection. I could pay everything himself. also lost
my driving licence etc. The price is too high...
I'am searching for legal changes in Germany... and here is not very much allowed. ;-(
One good changing is the Movit Brake-System. It is allowed in Germay by the Tuev. And i hope i find more things.

Hi,..
because the light i have a Idea...but i don't know if it is possible.
The older 4.th Gen Camaros has 2 square Lamps on every Side.
could this Lamps been passing in the 99' Camaro instead of the
New one? It have "normally" European lightbulbs.. and good
bright European Hella or Bosch Lamps...is it so?
My old 89' FB had much better Light with it than my
new car.
It's only a Idea...i don't know if it is possible or good...
For the Design it gives Transparent Light Covers..

Normally the light should not be yellow... And it ist not very yellow,
but not bright enough...
but I've a date next week with my GM-Workshop,
I tell him about the light Problem. but i don't know that he can make
anything. Perhaps they could change the complete Lamps,
but there is no water in it like in by Backlights last year...

If you're comparing them to the BMWs, and Mercedes out there, you're out of luck. Ours are bright, but those lights are 10 times brighter.

IIRC, european F-Bodies should already have brighter lights than the US version ... no comparison to the Xenon I have on the Beemer, but ... I don't think they are too bad, though ...

I dont want to say it here, but i have driven any big BMW's.
At last a 93'E32 V8. (730i)
That car had NO Xenon Lights. No,.. absolute normaly
Lights.. from a H1 Lightbulb. The Light Emission was much more better than my Camaro.
Do you mean that a Mercedes or BMW has a 10 times better Light in the "normaly" Version without Xenon than a Camaro???
I have the European Model, but i thing that the Lamps are the same Model like the US-Model. It looks like so.
And i know that original US-cars has bad lights against the European. Only the lightbulb himself is a brighter european Model.

I simply swapped my stock H4s for some Philips Premium H4s - driving at night became much easier
It´s not Xenon but a first step...

You have the luck to drive a older Model with European Lamps... But the Newser Models since 97?? has American Lights and American Lightbulbs. No reason to change the Light...without big rebouilds...
