Its great to find people with the same likes as myself, killing boring European cars.
My wife (Lynne) and son (Dan age 5) have owned a UK specification 1999 Metallic Pewter Camaro Z28 since August 2001 and we think it is awesome.
The car has a 2" exhaust pipes from the Y piece and special straight through box in the exhaust which makes the LS1 sound great.
I am keen to learn from members about suspenion mods, e.g.: Eiach spings to lower and stiffen the car, Strut tower brace, Hiotchkis vs BMR. Which is the best? Which Panhard Rod to use? Who makes the best Control Arms and do I need arm relocation brackets?
I head the sad news last week that Chevrolet are pulling out of the UK. Never mind I have got the beast, now I need to tame it.

Why tame it? Anyway, welcome! Guess we won't have much of a chance to see you at one of our meetings - maybe you can make it to a race over in Holland ... OSL will be holding somewhere between 1 and 3 there next year ...

Welcome. I have family over in the UK. How do you do it with the price of petrol? I will be heading up that way for Christmas and New Year. Maybe we can get together one day and check out one anothers cars.

Thanks for the welcome.
Please keep us informed about the meets with lot of advance warning so we can arrange travel. We would love to come across that way.
You mentioned pertol price - when you are a BHP junkee who cares. Besides we do a lot of crusing and that give 29 mpg.
I grew up near an American Base in North Yorkshire, I loved keepng an eye out the for different cars, and I just had to have one.
Due to the rareness of the Z28 in the North East of UK i have troubles finding out info, thank goodness for the internet.
Any adivce you experts can give woud be great.
Jesse, want are the Eibach spings like. Has it dropped the car 2"? Does the car scrape on the ground?
If anyone is coming to Newcastle with their Z28 let me know.

I have the Eibach kit as well, and it is about a 1.5" drop, but it really depends on the individual application. Some might say that mine was lowered a bit more!! As for other suspension, BMR is good, and cheap, but Hotchkis is a name. They both make good stuff, it's all a matter of how much you are willing to spend.

I like the Eibach. I have the Pro kit. It dropped about 1.75". Like Jack said, it depends on the application. Howie on here used the Sportline on his (lower rated drop) and my car is lower than his by a little bit. My Y pipe drags a bit and the passenger SFC and the Airdam. Nothing major though.

I have the INTRAX lower than the sportline but has a stiffer spring rate than stock. Bigest bang for the buck is the performance alignment.
