I just found out today about this site. I took my new SS to work today and someone put a card on my windshield with the URL. Glad to hear there is an F-Body club here in Europe. When I heard that this was the last year for the Camaro, I decided that I just had to have one so I ordered it in December. I just picked it up on Friday. My wife and I went to the port at Bremerhaven and drove it back. It is a 35th Anniversary Edition SS Convertible with the SLP induction and the CME. What a car. This is probably the nicest car I have ever owned. I love driving it and can hardly wait to get it a little better broken in so I can have some fun on the Autobahn. I would post some pictures but I haven't broken the code on how to do it. Hopefully my wife and I will be able to make some of the events this summer. Some cruises would be great.

Welcome to the site and Germany. I broke mine from Bhaven also. Three transmissions one axle and and five pushrods later it is still going strong.

Welcome aboard! What a great selection for a car in Germany. I bet it's a head turner. I know AAFES wasn't able to order it for you.

Actually, I did get it through AAFES. The saleslady here at Ramstein was great. I think this is the only one that AAFES got. If anyone wants to order a car and is eligible for AAFES, send me an email and I will send you her name. She was wonderful to deal with.

Kudos to AAFES car sales. I tried to order a 1LE Camaro a few years ago and they couldn't do it. I believe some limited production vehicles only go to the dealers that exceed normal sales expectations.

Hi KC, welcome to the board! Hope to see you around at some of the meetings and races ... guess you will be one of the few (possibly the only) 35th in Germany ... saw a couple in the States over the last couple weeks ... nice ...

Hey, I'm glad you had better luck with AAFES than we did! I asked our New Car Sales guy months ago to put us in the running for the 35th Ann. Ed. "Oh, sure," he said, "let me get your name and phone number, I'll get back to you." So we wait and wait...and wait some more. I finally went back and asked the guy, hey, what's the deal? He said, "Hey, I tried calling you and kept getting a busy signal. What's your last name again?" I told him, and he said, "Oh, no, I was calling the other guy on the list. We got one car, had one opportunity to get rid of it, and the dude never showed up with a down payment." AAFES took their slot away after that. Screw them.
