Good evening ladies and gents,
A fellow thirdgenner from the UK suggested that I visit this site, and so here I am. My 1989 Camaro RS is the first US car I have owned (for just over a year), and is a 305 V8. I have spent a reasonbale amount of money getting it back to a B+/A stock condition, including :
Hood struts
trunk struts
Seat covers
Headlining
Weather stripping
Seat belts
plus :
Starter motor
Radiator
New heads
Manual fan switch
Valve stem seals
Hotchkiss Panhard and LCA's
SSBC front brake disc's
Poly bushings
etc..
I love the car, the sound, the cruise, and would love to be able to meet up in europe with people/cars with similar interests.
I would also like to know how I can get spares from the EEC directly, without spending the huge additional tax we pay when imported from the USA.

Welcome to the board!
On the parts, no telling ... I know here in Germany, Opel sells parts for the GM cars, but I have no idea what the price is - probably similar to getting them from the states plus taxes ... I recon that's the downside of owning a US car in Europe ...

Welcome to the board. Hope to see you sometime. As far as parts are concerned, I don't know how the prices from Opel in Germany would compare to the prices in England. Most of the parts can be ordered from someone other than GM from the states. Ordering them directly from GM is very expensive.
