Hi guys,
another brit to join the club; I run a 99 Z28 with a few small mods. Booked into the UK Streetracer competition this year so can't wait to start picking the brains of you US boys for all the best mods

Welcome to the board!!! I am fairly new here myself, but there are a lot of knowledgeable people here. Just post your questions and I am sure that quite a few people will help out with ideas.

Can't make it to Avon Park as the wife foolishly made other arrangements for me without consulting the race diary. Should be at the RWYB at Santa Pod on the 27th? April for the start of the Street Racer 2003 comp.
The cars in for a change of rear end the week before that so hopefully it will be ready.
What are you running?

I missed a trip down the strip. Spilt Methanol stopped play for a good hour.
I saw Lus1fer do his under 14 sec run, so I guess my stock Z28 will run that 13.2 (oops the numbers chnage everytime!!!).
Seriously I hoped I would run under 14 but I never found out. The LS1 is stock (at the moment) but the suspension and exhaust is sorted. I have jsut received my Random Tech Torque Arm so that should help a little more with luanches - just got to get it fitted now.

If you haven't done it already the first mod you should be doing is the air lid; the stock item robs the car of a lot of power due to the air baffles. I would sort this end out before starting on the torque arm. Launches are broadly down to practise, get the technique right for the set up you using at the time.
Stock Z28's can still run anything from mid 14's down to mid 13's depending on how the car is driven and the set up; you only ned to look at LS1.com or LS1tech.com to see the numbers that can be done with a stock car.

Jagsy, you should have been at Avon Park on Sunday. It was brilliant. The weather kept them away in droves and yet we had a great afternoon's drag racing where I finally beat a Viper 500 to the other end.

Welcome to FBE. I was recently up there visiting some family- London Area, Manchester, Stratford upon Avon, Swindon, I saw Stonehenge, and other places I can not remember.
