Hi folks,
my name is Horst and I live in the very north of Germany - close to the Danish border.
My first experience with American cars was a 1995 Corvette vert that I had a few years ago. A great car - but with not enough seats once the family was bigger than 2 people.
I bought a Saab vert after that - what a downgrade! Front wheel drive, no torque at all, and at least 3 weeks per year in the garage! I tried for more than a year to get rid of it.
After I succeeded I wanted an American vert again. The Corvette still has got only two seats, Chryslers are front wheel drive, and Mustangs.... well they are Mustangs.
So, finally, I bought a 2000 Camaro convertible in mystic teal, just a few weeks ago. Currently I´m having some interior components covered in Carbon.
Unfortunately, the convertible is almost not available as a V8 in Germany, so I got a V6. With great interest I read Jens´ post, in which he describes his plan to do the V6-V8 conversion. I´m really curious how he succeedes with his project. If that can be done with reasonable efford, it is definetly on my list!
Not as the most urgent item, but I will keep my eyes open for a crashed Z28.

Hello Horst,
welcome on board.
I´m just ready with the swap from V6 to LS1. It is big work, but now i have a strong engine. It is only interesting, when you can get a cheap crashed Camaro or Trans Am. I bought a crashed 2000 Trans Am WS6, but the swap is much easier, when you have a crashed camaro V8.
Maybe we see us on a us car meeting, than we can talk about it.
Jens

Welcome to the board, Horst.
Daddy, my ears still hurt from hearing you talk worse - you use all the alphabet of four letter words up and down when it is snowing.
