So, I was so worried that I'd get my car here and there'd be no one around to hook up with about cars. I just got in about 3 weeks ago and the car came in to Bremerhaven last monday (great drive back though :D ). So I've got a 99SS M6 with only a flowmaster catback, TSP carbon fiber lid, K&N, FRAM, and a PRO 5.0 shifter with a custom modded shortstick. Other than that, its basically stock. I hope to do some major upgrades in the next few years, but only time will tell. Any way, its bright red and as soon as my computer arrives (Should be 9 Aug) I'll post some photos.

Anyway, my name is Scott, I'm civil service with the AF (did almost 14 years active duty first though), and I'm on a 3 year tour here, but I'm really enjoying the unrestricted speed zones so I'm already thinkin about staying longer.

Hope to see y'all around.

Scott

Yes I'm at Jamstein. Live off base about 15mn from the base. I'll keep my eye out for the redSS! I'm on leave this wk but if you aren't doing anything Thurs we are getting together to go to the Hockenheimring and do some hot laps. It'll be after work because the track isn't open til the public until after 530 I believe. Couple of us from here are heading down there.

I heard about Hockenheim before I left the states, how far is it? Is it expensive? Any idiots usually out there gettin' to agressive? I've only ever ran 1/4 mile and AutoX, so I don't know what to expect on a road race course.

It's about 45 mns from here if you are goofing off. :D I've done in it in less than 30. The drivers aren't bad at all. Haven't been out there in my car yet but been to the track numerous of times in the past. It's a hoot to drive but not as fun as the "Big 1" imop. Can't remember what it cost but look in the track section and ask Ben or Roy. They can tell ya. They are regulars.

Guys
its 3 euros entrance and 12 euros for track ticket. iT gets you about 15minutes or there about of track time ,

As for expectations , it is a one hell of a thrill.

Welcome to Germany and to the club. I have a red '99 Z, so I'm sure we'll be seeing each other. Just look for the black wheels and black rear panel, and listen for the loud exhaust! ;)

Welcome to Ramstein. I'm also a civil servant at Ramstein. Where do you work? I'm at HQ USAFE. Look forward to meeting you.

No, I hardly ever drive it to work. Don't want the rude a-holes in the parking lots banging it up. I occasionally drive it, but very seldom. Wish I could drive it more. I'll have it on Friday, but don't know where I'll park yet. I take it you work in the building in the compound. I'm on second floor A wing of 201. I'm sure I'll see you sometime around there.

Welcome to F Body!!! Welcome to Ramstein (the only place it takes you 30-45 minutes to leave the base around 4:30 and parking takes 20-30 min to find a space) =) You'll love the area here though. This place ROCKS!!!!
