... maybe if your Audio equipment is loud enough to drown out the exhaust noise ...
Given that LS1 has a 6200 redline (officially) it would rather be around 3000 ...

our inspectors in Spang ease the throttle so it is not quite as loud as you know from doing it yourself. they went to like 2500 on mine.

Do they do a visual check like for cats or hook anything up to the car to check it?

Loudness (Db) is the concern.

I would think it would be easier at a stereo installation shop. They would be more apt to have the equipment for the check. Make sure they do it according to the regulation through half throttle.

All of the information is in the link that I posted on page 1. The angles and height will be shown on a picture in there. Also, they don't just take the reading at half throttle. They actually run it from idle and then take the heigest point. That is the interpretation they used each time on me.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant . They take the highest point from idle to 50% RPM, Poor typing on my part. :pat:

Does anyone happen to live on Spangdahlem AB in base housing? The wife and I are curious of what base housing is like rather than living off base. I only got a month left before I pcs and did this time fly by! I'm really excited about this move.

Well I've made it! Spang is nice compared to the base I was just at. I'm looking forward to finally getting my car and cruising around and maybe I'll see a few of you guys around.

Have you been at the Bitburg airfield last weekend? If not, head on over in two weeks and say hello!
