Whats up guys. New to the site but been in K-Town for the past 6 years. Got my Camaro on the way. Would be cool to meet up for events and the like. I drive up to the NurburgRing about twice a month. Would be great to head up with other Camaro (F-Body) drivers.

Welcome to FBE! As for meets, it's been a bit slow lately, mostly met up with folks on the track days, but maybe we can set up a little cruise or BBQ or something in '10 ...

Thanks guys! Sounds good. I won't have my Camaro till JAN2010 anyway... I'll be headed up to the Ring later this week, but that'll be in my Opel...

I see a lot of Mustang meetings, but not a lot of Camaro meetings. Are there other sites or places that these meetings are posted?

Maybe a silly question, but one that I guess I should ask... new Camaro drivers accepted on this site? ;-)

Same breed, same family ... we even accept Corvette-drivers ;) And the occasional Mustang-folks ... (btw, you did notice the forum header graphics, didn't you?)

Welcome to the site! I am in the MOC @ Ramstein and will be all for meets as soon as I can get my cars going. Where do you work?

BTW, what color did you go with for your 2SS (I am assuming yellow)? How long is the ordering process to get one?

What is the MOC? Ok, great!

Yes, yellow, with the black racing stripes. I also got the ground effects package (painted). I ordered the car mid July. It is going into production this week and should be delivered here mid Jan. There are a lot of factors that go into the time line. One HUGE limiting factor that I did not realize until after I had paid my deposit is the size dealership you buy from. If you buy from a "high volume" dealership you are likely to get a faster delivery. This is because GM gives each dealership a ranking on back orders. The bigger the dealership the higher the ranking thus the more car orders can be placed a month. Also, the transmission shaft problem that is coming out with the new Camaro's slowed down the production for about a month.

Awesome information! I honestly did not like them initially, but they have definitely grown on me. It is going to be very tough not to get one when I go back stateside this summer. Mine is pricing out at about $37k online. Cyber gray w/ red/blk interior, 6spd, ground effects, squared exhaust, w/o sunroof. Did your dealership charge you a premium? Did you pay shipping over here also?

MOC= Maintenance Operations Center. I am C17/C5 maintenance.

We will have to get together sometime. I am in Weilerbach.

Yeah, I've been waiting since they stopped making 'em! GM should be caught up by this summer, so you may not have to wait at all! That is what mine is costing. Once you choose the 2SS package there aren't many other options. I am getting the Camaro at MSRP. There was no mark-up... Yeah, I going to have to pay shipping, but the dealership is working that into the loan...

Check the GM website. They were offering military discounts, but most dealers won't mention them or don't know about them. Blue Duece got his for about 33K. It was loaded.
