After meeting another F-Body owner from Hersfeld (96 Firebird) while having my brakes fixed today (and advertising the site/club to him of course), I got to think about the handout/flyer thing for FBE again ...

What do you folks think we need to have on there? What size/layout? Any general thoughts about it?

Basically, I think a quarter page size should be handy (based on either A4 or US Letter size page). Could do a double-sided layout if we run out of space ;)

Dude! Where you been? Ben and me made some up about a year ago. I've been tagging cars left and right!

Come on Garry! Step it up

I got one of those the other day. I was illegally parked about 50ft from the LE desk at Ramstein and thought it was a ticket.

I would suggest not handing them out to members, especially when it's raining.

Had to do some flyer sample, so I messed around with a new flyer for FBE ... still got lots of room left ... what do you think?

I checked, it shouldn't look bad in b/w either ... I can still tune it after I'm finished with it ... ;)

Nice! Just thinking if there should be some info-text on it... or not...?

Yes, that was what I meant with "lots of room" ;) Need some suggestions on what to put in there ... something like "active forum, but folks never end up to get together" doesn't sound very positive

Btw, just checked, we could get some 2000 ID-card size (~3x2in) double sided full color print cardboard for less than 70€ ... (1000 are about 5€ less, single sided about 0,20€ less) ... might be an option over printing B/W copy paper handouts...

*bump*

Well, how about getting the business cards made? I re-ran the info, dunno what paper I calculated it for last time, 2000 would be ~80€, 3000 ~85€ ... I will probably run 250 sample printouts single-sided (they have a "free" offer), that way we'd have a couple by the first Bitburg event.

Front side is pretty much clear, a nice pic, logo and web-address, any suggestions for the reverse? Probably should stick some description/club info there ...

Suggestion 1: Postcard size and with the postcard back to mail as such, then at least it gets a use other than throwing in the trash after looking up the website and maybe the info is getting around in the world

Then, we get to the next step: If we want new club members, the "entrance" to the board needs regularly updated infos and not the same old news from 2003/2005 for month or years...

Suggestion 2: front Fbody and back 1on1.
Then I just sponsor the cards... (and Garry you don't have to write on the picture where it was taken ) also it would be self explanatory what great stuff we are doing :D

Also, since we are talking about combining the two things, I thought already it could be beneficial if we link the two Forums, i.e. on 1on1 we link the "English" thread to come here and here we link the "German" thread to come out on 1on1... most of the people are the same anyway, just sometimes we would get non-fbody-guests which we have already - I think that is more fun! And you?
