Just went up to Sickels this morning to get an estimate on the track length ... was a bit surprised ... when I pulled up, there were lots of blue&white cones set up ... turns out BMW has several days of driver training/car test up there ... signup and $$$ required, though ...
oh well ... lots of nice BMW, with quite a few being the "M" version, there ... sure would be nice beating them things a bit without having to worry about cone marks :>
Anyway, got a rough estimate on the field and the runway ... according to my car's odometer, the field should be somewhere in the range of 100m wide and 500-600m long, the runway could be in the 700m range, so it might be enough for a quarter race ... I couldn't get on the runway this morning, as they had it blocked off with cones, so the runway is just a real rough estimate ...
So, if we want to do anything, we should decide quickly ... I guess people from FBE will need to know, and if we want to try to get a couple outside folks in, they will want to know more than a day or two in advance, too ...
