Those are what I am getting.. I am going for the 17x9.5" polished from performance wheel. I wanted to go chrome, but I have heard not so good stories with them flaking. The 4 are gonna cost 1012.00 alot better than 2,000 for 4 WS6 rims from GM.....
Ps do you have a pic of them on a TA?

Thanks ! They are killer and i couldn't be happier.
Thanks once more Roy as i couldn't have done all this without your support
Install wasn't a breeze as the Gorilla lug nuts (acorn style) i used on the firehawks didn't fit as the socket was just too big to enter the lug holes so i need a socket with an extremely thin wall or i had to tihgten them with pliers or something ... A NO GO
So i went to my dad's and picked up the ol' salad shooter nuts + locks and they require a smaller size socket and YES they did work !
I put them one after cleaning and waxing them and took the car for a spin.
The car handles great yet it does feel a bit 'nerveus' as EVERY bump or imperfection is noticed now, also the wonderfull Russian plastic dash seems to make a bit more noise also.
steering is effortless and seems smoother but no wonder with 235 in the front instead of the 255 i had.

You betcha ! I think i deserved that after being a slave to this car for about almost 6 years.
With the Lt-1 it's a full fletched Z28 afterall done from the engine to the suspension.
I'll get myself some 24K gold Z28 emblems and wear them proud

That is also an option !
But i'll first worry about the hard part:
- Getting ALL the parts i need (including the hard to find T56 !!)
- Getting that package to work !!!
The emblems will be the crown on my work but it will be the VERY least of my problems and i just KNOW that i WILL run into problems somewhere along the way.

If you want the look, the 18's do look good. I just cant find any good reasons to go past 17. Atleast on my car.

If you check out websites, specials and that sort of thing you'll see that 18" rims and tires will not really set you back that much compared to new 17" sets.
Especially in Germany 18" is pretty common and this drops the prices dramaticly.
18" not only looks better but it does increase performance also, you will however lose comfort.
Today's sportscars (most of them) come with 18" from the factory so it's getting more and more common.
I was in the market for 17" rims but i could get this set at an extremely good price so i couldn't help myself. I'm glad i did it and have no regrets whatsoever.

I guess it depends on your priorities, but 18's and up are pretty lousy for people like me. Hell 17's arent that great, but that was the size of the ZR1 rims that were my personal fav.
Its just to hard for a bonehead like me to try and launch a car on 18's with a 35-30 profile, and I like all my gearing I can get, so 18's actually hurt my power performance.

Robert, you are right about performance if you look at just speed/acceleration and braking. These mofo's do (noticeably) require more braking to make that vehicle stop and it hurt my acceleration indeed, all that rotating mass does require serious power to make it turn and again loads of power to make it stop.
The car however DOES handle better as the steering is now more direct compared to my 255/50/Zr16 tires i used to have.
John, i hear ya ! I need that donor heart as this car is ALL show and NO go Need to pick up that Lt-1 at Randy's really quick cause that car is begging for some new lungs
