Just put the image url between the [ img ]http://......[ /img ] tags ... (without the blanks) - and if it's for the signature, try to keep the picture small, like max. 10k or so, and maybe up to 150pixels high or so ...

Did you upload it to the internet? If so, copy the url of the image in the properties window. Then, put the following around the url but don't leave any spaces. I only did that so you could see exactly what you need to do!
[img ]PASTE URL HERE[/img ]
