My car finally arrived and I picked it up today! Almost great condition... sombody tapped something with the corner of the front bumper and it's missing about 2 inches of paint.
It's an '88 with an LS2, T56, Moser Ford-9, tubular K-member and suspension. The conversion was finished about a month before it was shipped and I can't wait to get cruising with it! I also managed to get a photo shoot before shipping it, the car will be featured in High Performance Pontiac sometime this fall; probalby between the Oct-Dec issue.
See ya'll around!

Thanks guys I haven't been following the events yet, but I'll check out the racing forums. I should be able to make Bitburg next weekend.

would be great ... looks like with the weight of the 88, and the power of the Goat, you should be puttin' some serious hurting on some cars out there ..

Yeah, nice improvement ... looks like a lot of work, too ... getting all the wiring moved over and adapted ...

Dayumn that's a badazz looking 3rd Gen! Nice work man. What did you have to do to get featured in GMHTP? That's the goal for me too when I head back next yr.
Again that's is sweet can wait to see it in person!

I couldn't find any info on Bitburg for next weekend, where's it posted?
I do plan on fixing the FRC's with 4th Gen Firebird labels, but that might be a winter project. As for the mag article, I was in the right place at the right time. As part of my move I had to go TDY to Florida and I drove the car. The Southern Trans Am Regionals was taking place while I was there, so I showed my car. An editor for High Performance Pontiac was there and he took a few pictures and we talked about the conversion. A few days later I got an email saying they wanted a photo shoot before I shipped the car.
I was hoping to get an article, but I was wasn't ready for a serious photo shoot! Luckily, one of my Uncles is a car-guy and he lived nearby, so we spent a weekend buffing and polishing the paint. That really made the 5 year old paint look good and I think it photographed well

Check out http://1on1-motorsports.de , all the info is there ... in a nutshell, two days of T&T Quartermile and AutoX, may even have additional 2-3 hours on Friday afternoon (we're setting up early this time), you can camp on site in the pits, or get a room nearby (James & Roy usually get a room in Spangdahlem). Food available on site, too, for decent prices; many people are doing BBQ, too ...

Looks pretty cool! Is there a fee to enter? I didn't see one listed anywhere.

Thanks The car is filthy though, I'm going to try and have it cleaner for this weekend... but I'm sure it will continue raining.
I got hit in the rear today too. I stopped to turn left across traffic and 3 cars stopped behind me, but the 4th smacked the back of the line and it rippled up to me. Luckily my car only has a little paint damage.
Ironically, I was on my way to get a paint repair estimate for some damage caused during shipping. Now I have to get both the front and rear bumper covers painted!
On that note, anyone install clear bra's around K-town? I get a lot of rock chips on the front so I'd really like to add this now.
