Hi !

Month ago I did a trip from the place I live to Belgium and Germany. I was together with some friends and we were driving on Spa, Hockenheim and Ring - four days and alltogether appr. 700 track km. and then also 3000+ road km's. I was on stock Evo IX and my friends drive new RS4 and Maserati 4200GT. Audi was the quickest on the track. Thankfully no problems with cars and even my Toyo R888 tyres did last well, although they are annoyingly noisy on the road, they saved my *ss few times on the Ring. Set of DS3000 brake pads and front discs were toast, when back home.

Also, was nice to meet some of this board members IRL and thanks to Roy for the tip about Pistenclub for Spa trackday. I can recommend them, organisation of this event was very good, although everything was in German, which I don't understand.

Here are some pics:

Spa

Hockenheim

Ring

And finally, if you haven't realised it by yourself  , you guys are very lucky to live near such fantastic tracks like Ring and Spa ! :D

Yeah, it was nice to meet you and Roy: Ott is not only a long-distance member but also a very early member (joined 19-JUL-2001) which I just realized. 8)

Well, I was already member of the previous board, but when this new version was installed, I didn't register immideatly. At the time, when I was modifying my 4-gen Z28, I was quite active on several F-body boards.

Actually now I have again more reason to visit those borads, as month ago, after 3 months wait till it was shipped from NC, this nice addition to my small car collection arrived:

8) Suppe!!!!

Hey- tell us all a little about & what you intend to do w/ it!
I'm (obviously) into Camaros, but there's a historical reason why I'm dickering for a '55 Olds 442!

Right now just to fix small things like door hinges, missing lists and etc. Then just to cruise around and go to the shows. Indeed, it has been already in one local American car event. One pic from cruising and another from drag strip. It went 15,2@146 kmh.

How difficult was it importing to and registering it in Estonia? I remember reading something (from you?) about strict laws concerning foreign/older vehicles over there?

Rules have been changing. If it's over 25 years, it can be registered with no problems. Just pay 10% duty and 18% VAT. Newer vehicles should have amber turnlights and other usual "european" modifications and newer than '97 should pass the emission and noise test - expensive and complicated, but doable.
