Perfect for a small, mid/rear engine car

Wow, that looks nice. I drove a road like that through the White Mountains in Arizona, it was close to 50 miles of twisties!

I did a quick search on it and it seems to be near Aviano. That would make it about a 9-10 hour drive.

Hm ... had some nice, though not quite es twisty, roads & views in the Blue Ridge Parkway ... the upside there is, every couple miles you get a chance of returning to the highway

It's just east of Bozen (Bolzano). 2 yrs ago, I took the beamer up the Oetztal, over the high pass & back down, stayed in a town just outside of Bozen, then took a cruise thru the Dolemites. Believe it or not, the pass over the mountains (both Austria & Italian) are more challenging- the switchbacks are awesome BUT the Dolemites are more scenic. If you get nervous on TIGHT switchbacks, I'd recommend using the Autobahn from Salzburg.

this particulair pass (the stelvio) of stilfers joch is west of bolzen / bolzano about 1,5 hours drive from there
but most of the nice passes are actually east of bolzen.
you have there like 5-10 nice mountain passes with allso nice views
but the stelvio is reported one of the highest passes in europe
but this one (gavia pass) was propably the one whitch gave my grilfriend the most scares it was only wide enough for 1 car and it was 2 way trafic with a VERY steep cliff right next to it, unfortunately where the foto was taken there was a guardrail, most of it didn't have any ....

Yup! Thing is, they're challenging & scenic at the same time! Just take a little time w/ you! Doesn't pay to get in a hurry- almost impossible to pass, so just cruise & watch out 4 the bikers! I almost had one as a hood ornament coming around a hairpin curve!
