Well, I don't know if any of you remember my newbie post, but the car has been been down since jan 14th when I blew out a chunk of piston ringland from piston #1. It was a combination of a lot of things. -2 weather, really aggressive tune, alcohol injection line popped off intake. Anyways, I finally got it back together this weekend. It now has forged wiseco pistons, ported head, supertech valve springs. I also added a smaller pulley, 3" intake, LS4 throttle body, ported blower, and 60lb injectors.

Looking forward to meeting up with some of you and driving the cobalt around in Germany. :ok:

What spec. is the engine ? eg. displacement, compr. ratio, estimated boost ?
and did you build it yourself , and what is the estimated power output ?

if you're not breaking parts , you are not making enough power
When in doubt, increase boost !

122 cu in. 2.0 LSJ.
Supercharged.
stock 9.5:1 compression.
boost will be something close to 20psi. Not quite sure as the head porting will probably lower the pressure a bit. Stock pulley is 3.34" (12.5psi) and I'm running a 2.5" pulley now.
Built it myself with a the help of a few friends. Tore it out of the car and put it back in the car all by myself.
Hoping for 320whp/280-300wtq.
It laid down 222whp/201wtq with just some cooling mods and a tune. Stock everything else.

Best quartermile to date is 13.2@104mph, 8.4@82mph, 1.95 sixty foot. That was header, cutout, 2.9" pulley, cooling mods, tune. Slicks I had were 26"x10.5" mickey thompson et streets. Too big, killed my gearing and they rubbed the suspension mounts a tad. Looking for low 12's, high 11's while I get used to the new power and continue to tune it. New properly sized slicks and the drag bags should help a lot.
