Long story short: I bought Bruce's firehawk. Swapped the 415 Stroker and Currie 9" into my Camaro. Ran a 6.89 in the 1/8th on motor (roughly 10.77 in the 1/4). Then sold the Fast 90/90 and Direct Port Setup. Then I find out it ate a lifter, trashed the cam, and sent metal through the motor. So while I had it out I decided to change a few things. Here are some photos:

It now has a Texas Giant cam, ARP Head and Main Studs, Rollmaster double roller timing Chain, T&D Shaft Mounted Rockers, Super Victor, Accufab 4150 Throttle body, Zex Perimeter Plate (NX noids of course), TH350 RMVB with brake, and custom made 3" aluminum driveshaft. Maybe one day soon I can finally get it back together.

The words "Bruce" and "Motor" are two things that don't seem to work together very well ... ;)

You ain't kiddin'. It would have been cheaper if I didn't have to polish the crank and put new bearings in the motor. I just received the custom length pushrods last night and I should have the motor back in by next weekend. I am taking my 78 Camaro to Pinks all Out in Florida this weekend so I won't get a chance to stab the motor in. How is your car doing? Oh BTW, I actually found Val in Kansas. I hadn't heard from him in 3 years. He is doing pretty good and his cars look pristine as always. Take care Roy.

I did but my funds were running out. I got this cam brand new in the box for $300 shipped. I am planning on converting it to a solid roller when I get back from the desert anyways.

Very nice! I was thinking that you probably would do a custom cam, but were either short on time or money...lol. I did the same thing a few years back.

The Hawk was traded a few months back for a 78 Camaro. It does spend most of its time on jackstands. I can never seem to be happy with the setup. Here are some completed pics of the car and my new 78 Camaro.

Nice 78! Next time I'm in Ga I'll look you up! I go to Augusta time to time.
