...with a week left before I ship the car, its out of the question, but I would pay around $1000 for parts and installation stateside. I would attempt most of the installation myself. Cutting the dash, however, I would not do myself.

Man, if I were you, I'd buy either Corbeaus, or Recaros! You can find some good deals on the 'net, and they're much better than the stock stuff!! Just my opinion....

I really like the Reacaro's. I wish I had the money to buy them while I was here, although there is a major Recaro distributer 10 min. from where my parents live in L.A. Hmmmmmmm....

Yeah, you're probably right, but those seats would probably be really comfortable... There is a set on ebay right now of 4th gen seats. You might want to look under seats z28, or seats firebird or something like that. You could always have them deliver it to your HOR, if you don't already have an address!!

I was never happy with the Camaro seats so this is what i'm gonna be doing.
I however do think that a Camaro should have the typical Camaro seats so i'm gonna have mine revamped.
They will add extra support, yet leaving the general shape of the seat intact so anybody will recognise it as a Camaro seat YET they will also see that it's special as it provides better support.
I will have them use the new Carbon Leather to compliment the rest of my interior and some other type leather or maybe even Alcantara.

On euro-spec Camaros, they used Firebird seats ... at least my Leather seats are from a Firebird ... they're great ... (guess they had to use them as they have the moveable head rest ...)

Yes, they provide A LOT more support indeed !
I however DO like the looks of the Camaro seat and i want to keep it original looking YET i want them with better support so they will add extra foam and padding making them more snug yet still resemble a Camaro seat.
What was GM thinking ?
