No this is not the "does a 8.8 fit."


Anyway it was a Ebay thing, and this guy got it for $600 sans motor and tranny. He has led me to believe that I can have the 8.8.

Now I know that its not a bolt in, the axles/carrier have to be replaced and the tubes welded on fabbed.

I dont have a torque arm that bolts to the diff, so there will be no fabbing there, and I'm not even gonna go down the abs path, so that is a non factor.

You think its worth trying? Or is that another piece of crap to add to my pile that I dont use?

It's definitely worth trying Rob, especially for that kind of price! I've heard of people running upwards of 1000 hapees on those rears, so I say go for it you lucky bastard!
