Well, since someone talked me into spending a whole bunch of money (thanks Silas), I now need a budget rear end instead of just one from SLP.
Any ideas? I know a few of you have got some sweet set ups.
I just need something to take 500hp with ease. Hopfully under $1500.
Alright guys, work your magic

Don't blame the black man again. J/K. 1500 bucks won't buy you anything to be honest. You're only bet would be to have what you have and max it out. Weld the tubes, TA cover, moser axles 31 spline, and hope for the best. Make sure if you switch gears you get the solid pinion spacer crush collar. That way you don't shock the rear on hard launches.

Daddy,
Buy Silas's set up with the T2R so he can finally get into the 9in club if you look around you can actually get into a decent 9in for pretty cheap. $900 for the case w/31 spline axles and another $825 for the center section set up ready to go....there are a few hidden exspenses but you can get into one for roughly under $2500 that will take that kind of HP. Sorry but Bruce convinced me from the get go that the 9in was the way to go (something about 5000rpm clutch dumps off the line). IMHO the 10bolt is a time bomb waiting to explode no matter how much $$$ you through at it. It will be coming apart sooner or later. I like Roy's thinking, NASCAR uses the 9in for a reason......how many Cup cars, NHRA Cars, e.t.c. do you see wih 10bolts(especially the newer generation models that the F-bodies have????? Do yourself a favor and save the $$$$ for a heavy duty setup. If you want more info look into the the article I wrote up for the forum about the 9in install. It has all the info on hidden costs and install.

the only problem, is I switched mid stream, and didnt get it done for the mine, so there are no dimension measurements.
It would be alittle hard to do without a car to measure.
So it looks like your budget just increased. Sorry
