Labor and parts are gonna kill ya over here . But it may be cheaper to rebuild it or it may not. Iwas quoted 10,000 dm For a replacement for my 98. A new one from the states is about 2500US.
Rebuilt through GM is about 1500 US. Junkyard special 500-1000 US.

Thats what I'm afraid of, labor is a real killer over here.... but 10.000 DM is a real stunner... I guess my best shot is to look for one states side... but even than, shipping and taxes will still make it a huge number... I guess I'll look around, right now though I'm more in the mood of selling it.

I paid Euro 1450 to have mine rebuilt, and 3rd gear still grinds. I'm too apprehensive to take it back to them, for fear of them f@#king with something else.

Bruce is getting his T56 rebuilt in two weeks. He uses a guy in Amberg and the price is reasonable. Bruce is in the field right now but will be back on Friday night.

I'm gonna wait with mine 'til next year. I'll be learning how to do it myself.
I got it done at a place out by Sembach.....

That's great news. Now I need to find out what my clutch problem is, so I can be next.
