What does a 2 and 3 series carrier mean? Which one do I have?

A two series carrier are usually used for a gear ration of 2.99:1 and down. A three series will have 3.00:1 and up. If your car is an original 6-speed it will have a 3.42 gear ratio and use the three series carrier.

So, 4.10's = 3 series, right?

Yes,
You will need to order the 4.10s for the 3-series carrier. Why are you staying with that rear end? You should get you a 12 bolt or 9".
