It dosent like going into 4th at high speed like if I am going from the top of third it will go into gear then pop out and wont stay same if I try to down shift on the autobahn doing around 90. Any other time it is fine. SO should I start looking into a rebuild?

Start with the simple stuff

Does it have an aftermarket shifter with external shift stops?

Sometimes its hard to tell , But the 3/4 shiftfork will bend and cause that problem , bit so will a bad 3/4 synchronizer and blocking rings.

Like Roy said, I would start with the simple stuff. I would replace the tranny fluid with some synthetic stuff, the PX has Royal Purple. You will need a good pump syphon. I just changed mine this weekend, found out that I was down about a quart, and I had notchy shifting as well beforehand, even after swapping the shifter to the new C6 Z06 shifter, so the notchiness was from the tranny. After swapping the fluid It is easier to shift and I am still evaluating if my tranny should go under the knife. If It does, then I will use one from RPMtranmissions.com. Overall, it is less notchy. Even better fluid is the AMSOL synthetic, which is raved about in the states for the both the racing and street crowd. It will take 2 months to get here via slow boat if yo do order some though.
Good luck,
Nick

Dude before you go for a rebuild when back in the states DO make sure that you have enough fluid... it makes a difference...
