Wondering if I should take out the A/C unit on my Camaro, A/C doesn't work and I'm wondering if I do take it out how do I do it. Can I just remove the A/C unit, all the lines, cut the wiring and just wrap electric tape around the ends. I honestly don't see myself needing to use the A/C. What do you guys think? Check out my engine and let me know any ideas. My car has a long road back to running great.

You could go to a car place (like Pitstop or the likes) and have them empty it ...

You could also just open the I-don't-know-the-name valve and let the stuff out, which wouldn't be very friendly to the environment of course,,,

I once froze my fingers to the steel can when i refilled my AC... so i got some respect for that stuff
But R134a at least doesn't destroy the ozone layer compared to R12...

Hey guys, the reason I was doing it myself is b/c I am running open headers till I get my exhaust on tomorrow. Tried the valve thingie and I just pushed on it with some pliers and good news is the line was empty, just air came through, good stuff.
Thanks for all the good ideas and I will let you know how it turns out. Thinking about getting a new motor down the road, what do you guys think? Check out this website...
