I don't think anything bigger than the LS3 will be reasonable ... For one thing, the price issue ... Remember, the car will be going up against Mustang and Challenger ... As for performance, putting anything in the car that would seriously challenge the Corvette's status as the powerful sports coupe in the GM stable would probably not be wanted by GM ...

You mean just like the LS1 was "detuned" on the F-Bodies to give the edge to the Corvette?

I'm also thinking LS3... and I'm not sure if there's really a need for a stronger engine as long as the engine it'll get responds to tuning as well as the LS1 did.
Apart from a powerful engine I'd rather like to see a lighter car than the 4th gen but that's not going to happen...
