Is the car staying in the area? I didn't have to sell it. I wanted to sell it before I left the states but I kept changing my mind. The inspection crap was just what pushed me over the line to sell it. In fact I had decided if this guy didn't buy it then I was going to keep it. I could have put a few hundred bucks into it and had it inspection ready but I just didn't want to deal with that right now. I can always buy another one a few years down the line if I miss it that much.

Nope, I paid it off last month and called the bank to change my address with them so they would know where to send the title. Well after telling the guy APO AE and him saying "I'm not finding AE in here, is that Alabama?" I figured I would be safer off having them mail it to my mom in TX and her mailing it to me. Well guess what mom did, threw the title to the car in the trash. Way to go mom. Now I have to wait 2-4 weeks for another title and then wait about another week for it to get here. I told the buyer this and he said it won't be a problem. Hopefully he doesn't back out before the title gets here.

Well here's an update on the car. I finally got a new title in the mail about a month after my mom threw the other one away (thanks Mom). I called the guy that was so interested in buying it on Monday and told him as soon as he wanted to he could come get the car and we could finish the deal. He told me he was on his way to work and would call me back. Well here it is Sat afternoon and I haven't heard from him. I sent him an email and have tried to call a few times. I thinking he doesn't want the car anymore. Well I am done dealing with the inspection place and would really like to drive my car that gave me such a headache to get over here so my buddy knows a guy that knows a guy that just might know a guy that can do an inspection for me. Hopefully I can get this thing registered next week and try to drive it a few more days before the weather gets too bad. I think I am still going to put it up for sale though but I might wait until next year when the weather warms up. Anybody got some stock springs they want to sell?

He didn't seem like the type that would just not call and let me know that he didn't want the car. Thanks for letting me know.

Well the guy that was going to buy it did end up backing out. I'm kind of pissed but oh well. The car is still up for sale if anyone is interested. I am probably going to fix the tune and ground clearance issue and drive it for a while. I'm not really putting it up for sale anywhere but here.

Got a few questions about this since I might be on my way back.
1) Do they fail you if you have SFC's that clear 11cm? 2) Do you have to provide any inspection certificates for aftermarket shocks/springs? 3) Do they do emissions? 4) My understanding is that 96DB is the limit, at what RPM? 5) Do they fail you for a cage? 6) Do they fail you for having nitrous pipping run to the motor?
I'm willing to remove the cage and SFC's as well as get new mufflers but not so much in regards to getting the suspension certified (it is just stock replacement items).
I also wouldn't pass emissions but I do think I can get the stroker silent enough for the inspection.
Thanks.

I think 95 DB is the limit, and I just had a car inspected in Wiesbaden and they didnt even pop the hood, so they probably wont even notice the nitrous. And they didnt do any emissions testing. Last time I did my vette they passed it and put a note that the exhaust was aftermarket. Someone posted quotes straight from the reg on here about the height. Hope this helps a little.

Yeah the reg says any metal part of the car has to be up off the ground by at least 11cm. This would include subframe connectors. Plastic and other materials have to be at least 8cm.
