As I was thinking about what tires to buy as replacement for my BFG KDs, I found the Kumho V70A. From what I've read they are a relatively cheap semi slick tire which should do pretty good.

Now, I went to Kumho Germany website and asked for a tire pressure recommendation, giving them all available data about my car. This was the result:

Cold tire pressure: F/R = 2,9 / 2,3 bar = 42 / 33 psi

What I've been running with my KDs is 2,5 / 2,1 bar = 36 / 30 psi

Especially the number for the front tires seems very high to me. What do you think?

Every tire has different psi characteristics for different cars and chassis setups. As these are probably generalized for the most part , you will be adjusting more than likely. That front cold pressure is pretty high imo.
I my self would probably run what worked on a previous tire and see how the car handles and how the tire wear is. If you have access to a infrared pyrometer that would help to tune the tire , but only immediately after finishing a session.
Also I see that tire comes in 4 different compounds. I suspect the hardest compound will only get roughly 4500 km before it is not street legal any more.

I suspect our resident Porsche driver, I mean Polo driver has some good info also.

Thanks, Roy!

Yes, I wouldn't buy anything else but the hardest compound.

The sticker on my door says to run 35 PSI for sustained speeds of 100 or more. I have the Goodyear Eagle F1s. I got over 35K miles on them including several trips to Bitburg.

My Firehawk has the same size your running and the recommended pressure is 30psi, front and back. I usually run 28-30psi and I've never seen uneven wear.

I just installed the Nitto NT05s but I haven't had time to play with them! They are quieter than the KDWs and the rubber feels pretty soft (200 TWR), so I'm looking forward to getting back to the track with them :)
