Alright as the title says a friend of mine here in Belgium with a Camaro says he needs a 3.8L replacement engine one in good running order would be ideal. Roy has met me personally and so has Daddy from over on Mightymustangs.net so if you guys have any leads it would be appreciated. As I do not know Camaro's or F bodies in general info and guidance on this is appreciated as well. Were there changes on these cars? Does it need to be the exact year model things like that do I need to give you guys more info on this ? Right now this vehicle was his only transportation and is dead in the water. |

Model years are the same for the 3.8 98-02. But I donot Know where one is. A remanufactured longblock is not that bad for price . Plus it comes with 3 year 36000 mile warranity. |

Alright Roy I know for sure it is not a 98-02, I think it is a 94 waiting for the guy to get back with me to find out for sure. |

If its a 94 it has to be a 3.4L motor. if that is the case There should be one coming up for sale rather shortly from Sergio-Casino. he is swapping a LT1 into his 95 camaro. Hey Sergio you out there? Sorry to here you got more stuff missing. |

Yup that's right ! 93, 94 were all L32 engines (3.4 V6), in 95 some had the 3800 (all automatics) and as of 96 they were all 3800's. And indeed, i'll have a complete 3.4 engine with all accs and T5 manual tranny to my dissposal. Engine has less than 40.000 miles on it so it has plenty of life left. |

Well i was planning to remove the engine out of the car (Car is stored in garage right now) in about 2 months, but ofcourse anything is flexible... Cost depends on what he needs, the entire engine ? Engine + Transmission ? Wiring ? PCM ? Just for the record mine is from a 95 Camaro with the L32 engine (3.4 L V6 SFI) and sports the Borg Warner T5 Transmission. For what it's worth, the engine is from an US Camaro (imported in 1995) so it has 100% US specs. |

Actually that two month wait won't be so bad, he was able to acquire a beater vehicle for now. Sergio keep me posted or tell Roy to shoot me a message on Mightymustangs cause I frequent there more. The guy is interested in the engine, he would like to know the price you want for it. So I honestly can not say sold I am just the middle man and don't want ot obligate anyone. |
