Hi, I'm looking for a rear end for my 98 Trans Am. I need a 3.42 ratio. It can be an original GM 10 bolts or even better a 12 bolts or a 9" Thanks - Stefano |

well, I can have an occasion Zexel Torsen series 3 carrier + GM gears + rebuild kit for $450 (I then have to rebuild mine). In the states a guy would sell me his 11'000 miles rear end for $400... I would say the price should be between $400 and $500, but you can tell me what you have and your price. I already rebuilt mine once but either the parts weren't good or I made a mistake. The internal poinion bearing is damages and the gears are now damaged too and are noisy. It should be a low mileage rear end with original GM parts with two sensors for ABS and traction (no central reluctor ring). Even better would be a 12 bolts or 9", but then it's clear that the price changes... I live in Switzerland: it's not a problem for me to organize a shipping company to pick up stuff in Germany (or worldwide). Thanks - Stefano |
