About two weeks ago this guy is driving by in a brand new AMG SLK55 right.

I was waiting on the bus to go to school and he just nails it going out of town. You can hear the rev limiter kicking in and he is trying to shift her three times but cant get it to go. All the sudden you hear this crunch from the tranny when you do not use the clutch all the way and after that his engine just overreved and boom. Guess what, white smoke.
Hmm blown head gasket.

You know if there is one thing I can not stand is someone buying a car that expensive who is trying to show off and then races on the street (in a 50 zone) and then cannot even drive it. (guess GOD got him on that one trying to show off).

there are probably different options ... either way, it must suck when you know you just blew out some 5-digit number through the exhaust ... ;)

Garry your correct , THe SLK55 comes with different options but having a manual transmission is not one of them.
Comes with7G-Tronic auto with tipfunction and steering wheel gearshift paddles .
Now the 350SLK does come with optional 6 speed manual.

I'm not planning on ordering an AMG any time soon, so I haven't looked into the options yet ;)

As for the smoke coming out of the exhaust - it must be the same magic smoke that computers run with ... once it escapes the computer, it won't work anymore

yeah anyway the tranny was really bad. maybe the safety thing on the triptronic failed? Who knows. The 6 series bmw sounds better anyway. (have you heard one of the new ones with the V8 it sounds nice and deep for a european car kinda like thoose)
