I guess it happens to LS1's above 6500rpm it creeps off the front and shreds so I pack a spare. Just try to find one when you need it. Pretty hard but can be done. It does not happen to the short belt for the AC

Is it blowing off of the crank pulley or one of the accesory pullies?

Belt tensioner pulley is the problem. I am wanting to jam it tight but kinda like the quick change short belt game.

Jam it, then all you have to do is take the center bolt out of the pulley... Will that work?

No because the short belt for racing is tighter and that is how I bought it. I will be buying a very tight normal belt to hopefully cure this problem actually I had a hard time getting it on I will let you know if it works?

What the hell are you doing running that high up? Your bottom end isn't gonna take that abuse much longer. 6 bolt main or not.

Right now it only spins 6600RPMS REV limit but I will be pushing further next year Rev limit set @ 7000 I am updating the rod & main bolts. I will be staying with the 346 CI until she blows. Then it will get the Z06 short block LS6.

No boring or stroking for me until my warranty runs out. But I do plan to upgrade to 2002 LS6 spec short block this winter. This is still in the planning stage and I am still waiting on some answers about pistons, gaskets and crank. and if I could upgrade the LS1 block to a LS6 this upgrade should be out real soon.
