OK, this may be completely dumb, but I will ask it anyway. OK, can you treat a clutch like brakes? Pull the clutch plate and sand the glaze off the PP, flywheel and clutch plate?

Well
It can be done , but as last ditch effort. The sanding on the fly wheel and p/p won't get rid of any glazing on there . As for the clutch disk it self . If it has slipped no amount of sanding will keep it from slipping again.
